Day 1: Delhi to Kasauli
Today you will start Journey from Delhi which will be of 5 to 6 hours as Delhi to Kasauli Distance is 295 km. After reaching, check in at your hotel. Spend evening exploring the local market or enjoying the serene environment.
Day 2: Kasauli Sightseeing
This will be your day of exploring this charming hill station. So, after breakfast you can visit places like Monkey point, Christ church and the Gilbert trail. You will find a famous Hanuman temple at Monkey point- a popular tourist place in Kasauli. Also, being the highest point, you can have a complete view of Chandigarh plains region and Sutlej River. Christ church is a beautiful colonial era church built in 19th century. The architecture and serene surroundings make it a peaceful place for reflection and photography. Gilbert Trail is a kilometer and a half muddy trail along the hillside which starts from Kasauli club to Air Force station. It is said to be a must visit place. After this you can enjoy a leisurely stroll on Mall Road and shop for souvenirs. Return to your hotel in the evening. This is where your second day ends.
Day 3: Kasauli to Shimla
Today you will be heading towards Shimla, so after breakfast check out of hotel. Kasauli to Shimla distance is around 71 km which will take you approx. 2 and half hour to reach. After arrival, check in hotel, spend the evening exploring the Mall Road, The Ridge and Lakkar Bazaar. At Mall road you can find some of the best woolen clothes and exclusive handcrafted works whereas at Lakkar Bazaar you can buy wooden toys, pots, flower vases, idols etc. At Ridge, as you walk along at this open Centre space, you will find many historic buildings and statues. After visiting all these places you can try the local food here and head back to hotel.
Day 4: Shimla Sightseeing
This day will be completely for Shimla Sightseeing. Today you will visit Jhakoo Temple, dedicated to Hanuman ji. To reach this temple there are two ways, either you take stairs or you can go by Ropeway. After this you will be exploring other attractions like ViceRegal Lodge and the Shimla state museum. The ViceRegal Lodge is a spectacular architecture built in a Scottish Baronial style and state museum is known for its Victorian architecture. After completing this sightseeing tour you can return to hotel by evening.
Day 5: Shimla to Manali
On the fifth day of this tour, you will be visiting Manali. It will be a drive of 7-8 hour from Shimla. Although this whole day will be travelling, En route you will visit places like Kullu Valley and Pandoh Dam along with the scenic beauty of nature. After this long drive, check in at your hotel in Manali.
Day 6: Manali Sightseeing
Begin your day with a visit to the famous Hadimba Devi Temple, a temple dedicated to wife of Bhima, Goddess Hadimba. Remember the scene from the famous movie Yeh Jawani hai Dewani, when the whole group visits to a temple, this is same. Afterwards, you can explore other attractions like Manu Temple, Vashisht temple and Old Manali. To enjoy aesthetically, you can visit cafes on old Manali like Café 1947, John’s café, The Lazy Dog Café, Dylan’s toasted and roasted café where you can try variety of continental as well as traditional food.
Day 7: Manali Excursion
Today you will be going on a day trip to Solang Valley, a place where you can try all types of adventures including paragliding, zorbing, zip lining, ATV ride, and other sports. Skiing in Manali is very famous and must try activity. After this if the weather conditions allows, you can visit Rohtang pass for breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Head Back to your hotel in evening.
Day 8: End of trip
This is time to say goodbye to this lovely place. The drive from Manali to Delhi is approx. of 11 to 12 hours. You can make stops at scenic spots or small towns along the way for refreshments. By late evening, you will arrive Delhi.
