To reach Manali by train, you will need to get down at the nearest railway station, Joginder Nagar Railway Station, which is approximately 162.6 km away from Manali. So, you will first need to take a train to Pathankot and then catch another train from Pathankot to Joginder Nagar Railway Station. Once you arrive at Joginder Nagar, you can hire a taxi, and the journey to Manali will take around 4.5 to 5 hours. If you are opting to travel by train, take a train to nearest Chandigarh Railway Station, which is located 315 km from Manali. From Chandigarh Railway Station, you can take a cab or a bus to Manali. This can be a more convenient option, as Chandigarh Railway Station is well-connected to major Indian cities such as Delhi, Jaipur, Indore, Kolkata, Madurai, Lucknow, and many more. The journey from Chandigarh Railway Station to Manali will take approximately 8 to 8.5 hours.
